There’s more to Las Vegas than gambling, burlesque shows, and quickie weddings. With a growing art and theater scene, rich cuisine, hipster bars, and a plethora of LGBT venues and offerings, the Sin City lives up to its name.
No more a straight town, Las Vegas has evolved into one of the best destination for gay travelers, boasting an impressive number of LGBT parties and clubs. No matter where you go, you will bump into a gay-friendly bar or nightclub after all.
Although there are great gay venues all over town, most of them are nestled along Paradise Road, in an area known as the “Gay Quarter” or “Fruit Loop”. The Commercial Center, which is a bit southeast of downtown, is another district where you will find a collection of gay bars and restaurants, including renowned Lotus of Siam, one of the nest Thai restaurants in the West.
You can’t visit Vegas without a stop at Krave Massive, the largest gay nightclub in the world. Featuring gargantuan dance floors, five themed dance rooms, three bars, two stages, a gift shop, and more, this is where you’ll probably find the largest concentration of go-go boys in the entire state. Conveniently located, less than two miles from the Las Vegas Strip, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is a gay-friendly and popular entertainment resort. Besides accommodation, the hotel also features a casino, 6 restaurants, a rock venue – The Joint – and a nightclub – Body English. The rooms are located in either the Casino Tower or Paradise Tower and they all come with standard modern amenities such as a flat screen TV, clean lines, sumptuous bedding, and a fully stocked minibar.
Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas
If you are looking for a memorable Las Vegas experience, look no further than Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas. Hosted by popular female impersonator, Frank Marino, this drag queen show is probably the best and definitely the most popular in Las Vegas. The 75-minutes production takes place at the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino and features and all-star cast of female impersonators who will lip sync, tell naughty jokes, and dance. Frank Marino kicks the show off as Joan Rivers and has been playing this role for nearly 30 years, holding the unofficial record for the longest continuous performance run at a single casino in Vegas.

Once a small little hole in Commercial Center, Lotus of Siam grew to become one of the best Thai restaurants in the West. The quality of ingredients, the authenticity of the cooking and the stellar service were the main ingredients to Lotus of Siam’s fame. Boasting a menu of over 150 outstanding choices, ranging from classic curries to signature dishes, Lotus of Siam is a gourmet’s heaven.
