How To Be A Total Summer Babe

Now that summer’s almost here, everyone’s freaking out.
Gals and guys alike, if you want to be a total summer babe, look no further. While fitting into last year’s bikini bottoms or swimming trunks might be your ultimate goal, there are other ways to make yourself magical in the sunshine.

Follow these simple steps, and you’ll absolutely kill it this summer:
1. Apply the correct makeup.
Ladies (and gents), make sure you go light on the make up during summer. With temperatures rising, more physical outdoor events, and plenty of water activities to enjoy, you don’t want your face to look like it’s melting. Invest in water proof mascara, a light moisturizer as the base for your make up (preferably with SPF in it), and a fun summer shade of eyeshadow to compliment your eyes when they pop in the sunlight!
2. Take care of your hair!
Sunlight, humidity, pool chemicals, and heat can all have an adverse effect on your hair. The last thing you want is your hair to look dull and filled with split ends. Make sure you keep your style natural and when you want to style it, make it a point to use all-natural products like a sea-salt spray. Don’r forget to keep it clean and conditioned!
3. Get some color.
While porcelain skin is beautiful, when the sun the comes out you literally look like a ghost. Head down to the beach, a pool, or pull out a chair for your back garden and soak up some rays. Everyone looks healthier with a little color, but make sure you slap on some sunscreen first to avoid becoming beet-red with a burn. If you’re someone who is super prone to burning, no matter the SPF, use a moisturizer with natural glow compounds in it.
4. Get in shape.
This is the part that’ll help you fit in those bikini’s and shorts from last year. If you want to tone up, you’ve gotta put in some work. That means pumping some iron at the gym, going for long runs through the park, and making sure you eat right – at least 4-5 times a week. Try to find a friend to exercise with too, as that’ll help you stay motivated. Come here, abs!
5. Give your wardrobe a refresh!
It’s time to put those coats and sweat pants in the attic, and pull out your tank tops and shorts from last year! If your size and style has change, then get yourself to the nearest set of shops and find some new funky and fresh clothes for your closet!

Supreme Court allows transgender military ban as the legal battle continues

Today, the Supreme Court of the United States has allowed President Donald Trump’s transgender military ban to go into effect; a ban that is both cruel and irrational to our community.

The policy was first announced by President Trump in July 2017 via Twitter. Since, the ban has faced legal battles in lower courts, resulting in nationwide injunctions prohibiting its implementation. SCOTUS’s decision today allows the ban to go into effect while the court decides whether to consider the merits of the case.
